  5. That's still a horrible design choice, a 1-3 second load time for some model getting streamed in, with a low-res version used in the mean time, is standard in the industry. People are going to forget about that if your game runs and plays well.

  6. When you design a game you have to ask yourself "why" for every decision you make. Why does D4 drop you in random lobbies with random people? Why is it a "big open world" (D2 was just as "open world" yet it knows how to manage its resources properly)? How much value does D4 gain by having random players joining your games, seemingly at random? Well, potentially you could trade with them, I guess. But the chances of this are highly unlikely because it's completely random, so nobody does it. I've never seen anyone even use lobby chat before, even when I have tried to talk to them directly. Nobody parties unless they're in a clan or know each other. This is in spite of the fact that the game is much harder solo. Somehow this game literally has less socialization than D2 which is mind-blowing.

  9.  @katraapplesauce1203  Who gives a fuck? People don't care about cheaters. As long as your ratio of cheaters to non-cheaters is low enough, people simply aren't going to care. PoE is still taken seriously even though duplication glitches apparently exist in that game. Hell, even D2 is still taken seriously. You completely missed the point of my last post. If your anti-cheating or anti-piracy method inconveniences legit players, who are the overwhelming majority, it sucks. Period. Don't cut off the nose to spite the face.
