It's the cognitive dissonance of wanting to have all the status of an "upstanding" woman who does not sell her body to make a living in some way, while also having the ease of access to sell your body to make a living. That's really what movements like this are about, not actually giving exposure to talented women who don't use their bodies. You won't ever see JP streamers or vtubers associated with a movement like this, for example, even if their bodies aren't visible on stream and even if they have 4 million subscribers. To many women, the social status is more important than anything else.

@garymcjerry It's easier than working a full time job. How do I know? Because plenty of people work a full time job, and are fit, at the same time. Not exactly difficult to reason that out.

But when people talk about rights for sex workers and respecting sex work, this is included. But if you call it sex work and you're not one of them, it's derogatory. It's fucking madness.

@bendover04 Eh, it requires probably at least 10-15 hours a week at the gym. The online bullshit I agree though. Everyone who wants to make a career online has to deal with that.

@garymcjerry I'm completely fine with my job and I do go to the gym. You're making a lot of assumptions. I guess you can't see the weird contradictory nature of your own post where you suggest that full-time construction isn't that bad but going to the gym to do targeted exercises is so strenuous and difficult. The reason America is overweight is complicated. Not everyone has access, or time, to go to a gym, and our government didn't help by selling out to food lobbyists (primarily corn) in the early 70's by suggesting that it's okay to eat tons of sugar as long as whatever you eat is low in saturated fat. The UK agreed to the same nutritional standards and guess what, they're also fat. Mexico suffers from the same problems by virtue of NAFTA and receiving lots of our food sold by the same companies. It's only in these nations where poor people are typically fat because the cheap food has tons of added sugars. In fact we had a workout craze in the 80's and that still didn't stop the nation from becoming fat; people tend to forget how much of them live in "flyover country." We as a nation are only just waking up out of that staggering stupor of terrible nutritional advice.

@garymcjerry You're conflating individuals and groups. Individuals and groups behave differently, it's been shown many times in peer reviewed studies. I am aware that chicken and rice are very cheap and healthy enough. However let's not pretend that government sanctioned nutritional standards play no role at all in influencing society. Let's not pretend that every person is just as good at critical thought or sifting through bad information or misleading advertisements. These tactics have been shown to be effective at changing how society behaves and will be used time and time again. You will not be able to give a personal nutrition lecture to every American, British person, Mexican, Canadian, etc. At what point do you hold the elites and experts, people who should know better, accountable for knowingly distributing false information thanks to a bribe? You're also vastly overinflating the "subjectiveness" of the difficulty of different jobs. Any job where you have deadlines set by your boss is going to harder for the vast majority of people than a job where you can choose when to go to the gym, choose when to stream, etc. The tradeoff, before the advent of streaming, used to be that you'd have to take a massive risk in starting your own business, and work extremely long hours especially at the beginning. I don't think I've ever heard a single person claim that starting your own business is easy. Now you can basically do that, but from your own home and usually without dealing with overhead things like payroll or HR. The biggest tradeoff for this is that "partnerships" for websites like YouTube and Twitch are terrible "contracts" that can render you cut off from your source of income for making a single mistake, but now there are many avenues of revenue (OnlyFans, Patreon, etc) so that risk is significantly reduced compared to what it was several years ago.

@caroqt You would never understand because you're not a man, but they're effectively abusing a cheat code in real life. Men have hard wiring that causes them to be aroused when they see this. It short circuits most of the higher parts of the brain. It requires a lot of discipline and conditioning to stop one's self, conditioning that is not present in young and adolescent minds. But I'm sure you don't care.

@hegemon3 It's almost as if they're abusing primal urges hardwired into almost every male brain. I predict in the future men will have to adapt by not being aroused by anything visually. Humans always adapt, it's what we're good at. Be prepared for men to change because a sensory overload like this isn't going to be good for them in the long run
