@masterchiff6784 Make sure you update your drivers again, I believe there was another NVIDIA driver released after launch that is supposed to boost performance

@Negevite It's no more woke than Mass Effect or Dragon Age. You like gay aliens, turtle?

I have like 70 hours and I haven't left Act 1 because my friends all have weird schedules with different campaign files. I've found new shit on every single file

@CottidaeSEA Most people were expecting a slider-based creator with morphing facial features. It's pretty standard in games nowadays.

@Makkis Even the explicitly "anti-woke" content creators like ArchCast played the game and agreed it was a great game I don't enjoy politically charged games but this game is no more politically charged than BioWare games from the Mass Effect/Dragon Age era

@gdgd5194 There are an equal number of male and female voices, try actually playing the game before spouting nonsense

@Dryxxxa Funniest one I've seen so far is when I found the Zhentarim hideout. Before I even met them, I found the caravan that was raided by gnolls and had no idea who it was associated with. I have evil characters in this playthrough so I figured I may as well work for them, and their first job was "go find the shipment," to which I responded "I already did" and handed them the iron flask I found in the wreckage. At which point their leader said that I had to die because I opened the shipment. So I shrugged my shoulders and destroyed them easily. Surprisingly easy encounter for a bunch of level 4 NPCs.

RTwP was honestly a trash fire... It's hard for me to imagine that it was ever the standard for CRPGs. I mean, why adapt a turn-based rules system to turn-based when you can force yourself to play a weird rhythm game with the pause button?

@Scintiq7 Are you talking about the Enhanced Edition? Because that definitely didn't exist in the original copy of the game.
2
@Scintiq7 Now you're disingenuously suggesting that I was talking about the EE of the game, not the 28-year old original game and all of the other games (Neverwinter Nights, Planescape Torment, Icewind Dale) that used the exact same system and had the same problems. It's almost like they added that specific option you were talking about because it was terrible originally. It's okay to admit you were wrong.

@Scintiq7 Yeah, you're the guy deliberately misconstruing what I'm saying just to win an argument online, but I'm obviously the no-life loser yelling at things pointlessly when all I did was offer a passing remark to begin with. Remember buddy, you started this argument. All I did was effectively say "Boy I'm sure glad that games aren't the way they were 30 years ago." Then you compared what I said to a changed version of that game released within the last few years. Literally the opposite of a "grandpa" if I'm celebrating that new thing is new, use your fucking brain.

@Scintiq7 OK. You are the victim and I'm a douchebag even though you picked a bone with my retrospective comment that was aimed at no one in particular. I'm done arguing with a moron who already agrees with me and just wants to beat around the bush because he likes arguing.

@yewtewbstew547 What's so great about it? Is automatically losing your action because you accidentally clicked too far to move great? What about constantly mashing pause when the game could have done that for you automatically, is that great? Lack of information about available action economy in a round? In adapting a game to a fundamentally different combat timing system, the designers create new problems for themselves to solve that were simply not in the original rules. I have played BG 1 and 2, ID 1 and 2, NWN 1 and 2, and P:T. I tolerated it when I was a kid, but when I played D&D on the table and some of the turn-based CRPGs (especially DOS1) I realized how dumb the whole thing was. Literally the only benefit to the system is that you don't have to spend as much time on trash mob encounters where you don't have to think about your actions because you can let your PCs auto attack. Do you know what the far better solution to this problem is? Don't put boring trash mob encounters in your game. Larian does a very good job at avoiding that problem. Almost every encounter is interesting in all of their games.
