  1. It's a self defeating prophecy. "X candidate will win anyway, so why bother?" Nobody seems to realize that is only happening because they all collectively think that.

  2. ​ @senipie Sadly I'd say this problem is more due to ignorance than anything else. If your nation's government is capable of hosting a website, they can make a voting system that allows people to vote from anywhere. Properly overseen and designed, digital voting is a million times more secure than ballots which have to exchange hands several times.
