@3dbee47 Yeah I don't know where people get this idea that rifles are big scary murder weapons. Most mass shootings are committed with handguns and the occasional shotgun, and gang gun violence is committed overwhelmingly with handguns.

I'd like for any one of these people to show me a single mass shooter or renowned criminal who wore camo anything. I can't think of any.

@gotdangedcommiesitellyahwa6298 Yeah... I think cops may go practically extinct in some of these states. That, or the local chief will simply ignore red flag warrants.

@-imperatorinsomnia-6163 Ah yes, another Euroclown here to misinterpret the Constitution and its founders for us. Thanks Euroclown, we couldn't have done it without you. Humble reminder: you're talking about the guy who privately owned a warship.

@Smooth_Operator Why not focus on, y'know, the causes of that mental anguish instead of miming every single authoritarian state in history who said "hmm, I don't like this person because they're a political opponent, oh I know I'll just declare them insane and that will take all their rights away?" It's because the politicians don't give a fuck. It's so easy to pass some bullshit law that says "now you can only use 5 rounds in a magazine" and say you did something good because a law passed. They don't fucking care and their methods don't fucking work. Let me be the first to say I empathize, I know a girl who lied to me and went behind her boyfriend's back so she could shoot herself by sneaking into his place when he wasn't there and using his gun. But guess what? Red flag laws wouldn't have prevented that.

@robertkeaney9905 Well, I suppose that's why camo is on everyone's mind then. Typically it's just a guy with a regular backpack, maybe long sleeves, not much more complicated than that.

@caddyguy5369 I think (not based on any statistical evidence, just anecdotal) that most women who support pro-choice have never actually had an abortion themselves. There are those who brag about abortions but they're in the vocal minority. As usual it's just virtue signaling based on feelings regarding what some other people have said, without doing any research on WHY abortions happen or WHO is getting them. It's funny because you'll hear "men aren't allowed to have an opinion because they don't have a womb" but I don't think any woman who has never had an abortion and never intends to has any more of a right to speak on the matter, based on that reasoning. It's weird and ironic because you would expect, based on the statistical data, that pro-choice people would be racist eugenics advocates that hate American black people. But they are usually progressives that claim not to be racist. Yet they support a policy that is discriminatory by federal definition of the term (google "disparate impact" if you don't understand what I mean, I had to study this in the financial tech industry).

@freedomfighter1861 See, that's not exactly brilliant fucking advice either. Just shut yourself up alone with your guns and be depressed because you're afraid that reaching out will cause you to be othered by the government. It's not exactly a new problem, but one would hope we would have made progress on mental health. I'd say sign your guns over to someone you trust (private ownership transfer is a powerful thing) and then have them give them back to you when you're in better spirits. Although even that is sometimes not enough. My friend's late girlfriend went behind her boyfriend's back, and tricked me by asking me if he was home (he was out of town that weekend). Then when she realized he wasn't home, she snuck into his place, took his gun and shot herself. I had no idea she suffered from schizophrenia at all so the question seemed very innocuous.
