  1. Hate to say it but it isn't all fun and games. This exact same situation happened to my father and I at home. Lost pit bull wandered towards us in our driveway and was very friendly. My dad wanted to give him some water and food and then send him on his way. However the moment he opened the back door gate, he lunged at our dog's (a weimaraner runt rescued from euthanization) throat without even a warning. Luckily, despite the fact that our dog was a total pacifist and never attacked anyone or anything, he was very fast and managed to dodge the lunge. My father panicked and threw him over the fence into the neighbor's yard, which luckily did not have any more dogs in it. Pit bulls are usually friendly to people, it's other dogs you have to be careful about.

  2.  @practicalone2  I think it's more likely because that pit bull was a stray. Dogs can be raised well and raised poorly, like humans. It's just harder to raise a pit bull properly. I simply wish that people who own dogs like pit bulls would take responsibility for the differences in breeding and train them properly.

  6. I remember I knew about girls' and boys' anatomy when I was around 8 or 9, and asked how "it" works, my parents just looked at me like I was dumb and said "They fit together, son." I did feel dumb.

  8. Reminds me of when we were taking a family photo with the dog. The cameraman meowed like a cat to get his attention and the dog looked at him with this adorable quizzical expression, head cocked to one side. "How does human make cat noise?!"

  11.  @connorgregory3986  The part I always get confused with religious parents who believe they're protecting them from topics like this, is how they think they're so omnipotent they know what their child is learning/who they are talking to at every given moment. You're just setting up the opportunity for them to learn something stupid from an unknown source by not teaching them yourself. It's the same thing with the idiotic abstinence policy sex ed we have here in the southern US. In high school our health ed class on sex was basically "Look at these disgusting photos of STD victims, don't have sex it's scary." And yet somehow our state is known for having the most teenage pregnancies. Teaching everyone that condoms aren't effective -- so don't have sex -- was clearly a great idea.

  16. Well imagine you're guarding a herd of sheep and a predator is just staring at you for many minutes. The natural assumption is that he's thinking about attacking. A cameraman probably invokes those feelings.

  17.  @ShadeSlayer1911  A dog that you get as a small child will live all the way until sometime when you're a teenager though, assuming nothing terrible happens.
