@NN-rs1ny You can't create something without knowing how it works. The applications for quantum computers is research, especially quantum mechanics (naturally) but there are other research and simulation applications it could be good at. It will never be a consumer product, or at least not for a very long time. There's just no reason for it. But Google and IBM wouldn't be funneling so much money into this for no good reason.
