@PicYourColour Every bureaucratic agency falls under the direct purview of the president. They are executive branch agencies, tasked with enforcement, as the Constitution clearly states. Musk is merely a plenipotentiary for the purpose of auditing these agencies. In other words, the president has vested him with the power to act in his stead, for this specific purpose

In the software sector, its standard to have at least one meeting every week to go over what you've been working on and what you plan to get done. Some companies do it every day for a much shorter time.

@ Honestly, I would be more worried if our president didn't perform effective PR stunts, regardless of policy. A politician like that would allow the media to run roughshod over their reputation at all times, regardless of how good a job they were actually doing. Besides, politics is downstream of culture, and driving the discussion affects culture. You can't be an effective politician without doing this.

@ You are correct, it is probably a PR stunt. Trump has performed many such stunts since running in 2016 and he is highly effective at using them. There is nothing inherently wrong with PR stunts, as long as they're effective. Now, we are talking about the difference between public and private sector work, and talking about how reporting your weekly or even daily tasks to your supervisor is standard operating procedure in most white-collar and many blue-collar jobs. The conversation has been driven towards what Trump and Musk want to talk about, which is analyzing bureaucratic agencies and their expenditures.

@ You've never heard of a consultant? This is much more analogous to your CEO hiring a consultant to audit the company. It is extremely common in the private sector.

@classaction3314 Yeah, unlike Biden, who was very well known for his daily reports and constant correspondence with the media, right?
