@Quissbird- You say that as if every invasion into the massive nation of Russia didn't fail due to getting bogged down in winter. The Germans knew what they were getting into and still didn't provide adequate winter gear for their men. They also suffered from a lack of intelligence; they believed the Soviet military had far fewer divisions than it actually brought to bear.
