Weird thing about being a human is that we were all children at one point. Hard to imagine how any of these guys can't remember being a kid and struggling with issues. Unless, of course, they were completely pampered and never faced any opposition in their lives

Well, Charlie is definitely more milquetoast than Jeremy. Charlie never touches any topic with a ten foot pole that wouldn't be suitable for polite conversation with a stranger. The Trump ear piercing for example.

I was always afraid he was like this in truth, but when he first moved on from pure gaming content and started vlogging I thought he had grown up and matured especially when he told everyone about his most embarrassing moments as a teenager, despite the fact that his content is really quite safe. This is somehow too difficult for him to take, though.

His channel's early days were actually gold when he'd review obscure games in a funny way. Most people don't even know he had a phase where he did that.

No, sorry, I'm not going to pretend any of my opinions are as ghastly as "yes, parents should be able to rubber stamp cosmetic surgery for their kids"

I think it's actually more innocuous than that. He probably has a trans friend and put zero thought into his own position except "I don't want to make the crazy person mad." Then didn't realize it would blow up in his face. This is a guy who just wants to have fun and effectively be a kid his whole life. He bought a bunch of rare Pokemon cards just because it was trendy and he could. He makes videos rating breakfast cereals. Not commendable, but he is harmless.

To be honest, he came off as slightly more mature if you knew where his channel started. What sold that for me was telling funny stories about how crushingly awkward he was as a teenager. That gave the impression he had grown up. Not really, I guess.

You can be the greatest expert at anything (although, this guy is definitely not a debate expert) but overconfidence will always destroy you.

It wasn't worth debating him at all, but in this case, Sneako just delivered a common sense take on a hot button issue. This is a lot more like playing poker, and at the end of the night it's just you, who has won almost all of the table's chips, against a guy with $2 left to his name, and you go all in with a 3 and a 7 off-suit (the worst hand in poker). He just got extremely cocky due to Sneako's already tarnished reputation for being dumb. And yes, I know the rules for poker bets don't work that way, but Charlie really did stake his whole reputation without even realizing it.

Dude could just ignore it all if he really wanted to and people would forget about this in a month, but he's too much of a gaping vagina to do that. He's feeding the fire.

Magic tournaments are all officially sanctioned. If WotC doesn't like you, you can't play at the tournaments. If you're a card shop and you want to sell Magic cards, the biggest moneymaker in TCGs, they better not catch you hosting unofficial tournaments. I know a guy who was legit banned from all Magic tournaments because he has a Donald Trump playmat and he went against a tranny. Wish I were making this up. It was simply a mat with a flattering photo of Trump, during his presidency. He was banned for displaying a photo of the currently sitting president. This is the world we live in now.

Depends on what you think of as "better." From a perspective of character, ignoring it is arguably better in this case. The dude looks like a massive coward here. He's one of the biggest creators on YouTube and he quit all of his productions over a single bad take. By default, ignoring controversy like this is always the correct move for any media personality. Adjust for the future and move on. Maybe realize that debating randos over hot button political topics is not at all worth your time. Expecting someone to instantly change their position upon receiving pushback, even if it is wrong and stupid, is always unrealistic. I never expect that.

@vladthedragon8250 True, but I'm wagering that Charlie here has a trans friend that he's afraid of offending. He doesn't take strong stances on any other political issues that I know of.

He strikes me as a guy who is allergic to confrontation, and therefore, hot button politics. I think he has a trans friend and just parroted some opinion they gave without thinking about it

@toshiro-kano IT's a lot faster than typing out "moistcritical" every time you autist.

Sneako is really a massive dumbass. That's the ironic part about this; Charlie has clowned on him before, and he thought this would be good content and nothing else. Lo and behold, even a dumbass can deliver a common sense take on a hot button political issue.
