It had the Western liberal veneer of "look at us we're addressing modern issues in a ham-handed fashion please celebrate us on social media" which is something I watch anime specifically to get away from.

  7. It's not, it's just that extreme left opinions are drastically overrepresented in the media. It's extremely easy to pretend that 50% or more of people simply don't exist and their opinions don't matter unless you interact with people in the real world.
