I work in software, this is exactly what I'd expect from any IT professional.

I don't know if that's the real reason he did it but it is a sound political strategy. Promote your rivals to uselessness. UN Ambassador is, in my opinion, not the most useful position. The UN likes to pretend it's important, but rarely does anything of real impact.

@DarkLink1996 please tell us why you have zero perspective on how any nation in the world other than our own behaves, yet still feel the need to comment on politics no other nation in the world could bear our immigration intake. they would buckle immediately
13
@havable I always wonder how people like you take yourselves seriously when you propose that greed and ambition never existed before "capitalism."

@jakeplaysyt8000 you don't actually believe the ATF is redeemable do you? qualified immunity is bad enough, these guys have even less accountability. this is just this generation's Ruby Ridge. it will continue to happen again and again

@pda7819 "Corporate ownership of government district good. Me like corporation! Me like Mickey Mouse!"
4
@raphaelsname I'm confused. If a person is known to be dangerous, why does "he smokes the devil's lettuce" have to be the smoking gun that gets them jailed? We're not talking about Al Capone here.
3
@jallapavan great, now imagine that it has been happening since then and has not stopped
3
And if you call right now, you'll get another burning trash can, absolutely FREE!
3
@dragb9284 As corruptible as government is, I would rather a district be effectively owned by the government than a corporation that makes movies for kids.

@jerrybriseno3031 Deny it all you want, they aren't hiding it. You're just putting your ignorance on display

@MatthewSmith-o4o Your analogy is flawed. It is more like if you regularly went to a church of a specific denomination, but over time, they decided that talking about specific passages in your religious text was not allowed. Eventually, the church is completely different, co-opted by its own leadership and shaped by what is not allowed to be spoken about. Additionally, the church grew so powerful on the support of its old followers, that it now stomps out any other churches that try to spring up in town using underhanded tactics. Technically legal? Sure, I suppose, if you ignore the underhanded tactics. This is where a problem arises that must be solved through arbitration or legislation.

@richthepup Too cowardly to state his position, accuses others of lack of reading comprehension. Classic weaseling.
2
@alanwatterson2850 You're the one missing the point. Only losers underestimate their enemies. Period.
2
@lylejohnston4125 I don't think you know what inflation is
1
@lylejohnston4125 That makes two of us

You are completely fucking aware that Disney is fighting for essentially their right to govern, at a minimum, the land rights to an entire district of Florida right? I thought "you liberals" were the pro-government, anti-corporation party. Go advocate for your ANCAP hell somewhere else. Personally I'd like it if society didn't resemble the dystopias depicted in Blade Runner or Snow Crash before I died.

@GoldenPantaloons What you really mean to say is, we rely on immigration to shore up a lot of other problems we've been having. Why not address those problems directly? Why not encourage people to have children? Instead, much of the media would have you believe that saying something like "have more children" is somehow offensive, especially if spoken by a member of the majority demographic. Why is that? What's the point of investing my time and energy into a nation if they care more about immigrants? Why shouldn't I emigrate?
1
@DarkLink1996 please tell me why you hate natives
1
@paulthebohemian Other than illegal activity, that's an absurd argument because virtually every publisher is never held liable for misinformation. I'd be very interested to hear about the last time the AP was held liable for omitting that a murderer was an illegal migrant, for example. The censorship policy is driven by ideology and an ulterior motive to change election outcomes.
1
@IamCupkake You really think Disney would sue to prevent themselves from receiving free tax dollars?
1
@dragb9284 And yet you're seeing it happen in real time? Not sure what to tell you man, you're complaining about shit that happened before either of us were born. Also, I'm not really a partisan. Try not to be a pawn.
1
@dragb9284 So convenient that you just ignore the principles of corporate citizenship that have fomented in the US for over a century and pretend like this idea just came around a little over a decade ago.
1
@SamuelClemente7718 They're not even hiding it, all the reporters interviewing primary voters that voted for Haley got footage of them saying "Yeah, I'm a Biden voter, but I'm doing this to hurt Trump" Her entire campaign is a Democrat Trojan horse
1
Even if we assume all the worst stereotypes about black Americans are true... how would one get welfare without ID? It makes no sense in any context...
1
@jakeplaysyt8000 sadly, the problem is that the worst police officers seemingly tend to rise in ranks, and once you have a corrupt chief, corruption is abided or even enforced by the department.
1
@dealwitmonster2005 It's kind of a disingenuous comparison since he and Taft are the only 2 fat presidents in our history
1
@fadsa342 Such terrible, terrible, consequences. Like being able to afford food.
1
@fadsa342 So your best argument is "Under Biden, it's not as bad as it could be." Stellar fucking rebuttal
1
@samtaherian122 funny, because the DA "chose" not to charge Trump with insurrection
