  1.  @nahadoth2087  Believe it or not, religion is a very common way for people to escape the vicious cycle of addiction. I'm atheist but even I acknowledge it is true. If you can do something to prevent yourself from suicide or entering a downward spiral that results in suicide, do it.

  2. I'd say dealing drugs is a legislative issue, not an enforcement issue. Dealing drugs is only truly bad because of the illicit things the dealer might do with the substance, like cutting it with something harmful or selling it to minors, and the fact that it also brings with it nasty turf wars that result in violence. When they become legal to sell, the dealer loses his avenue for sale, the drug loses its "exotic" allure for young people, the sales are regulated so nobody overpays for low quality crap from some guy on the street, and nobody needs to kill each other over the right to sell it. In the long term more study is put into the drug because it is legal to study, and it can be made safer or used for something else that nobody realized it might be useful for.
