@sucyshi They came up with a BS response because they're not willing to funnel more money into the project. Google doesn't really design projects like these to last. They come and go in the span of about 5 years, sadly. There is a gigantic graveyard of Google products and services that everyone has simply memory holed. They've had probably a half dozen chat services at least.

@Konkov er, no, the reason it failed is due to insurmountable input delays caused by current technology. This wouldn't have succeeded just like OnLive flopped way back when. The only games you could play this way are very slow strategy and turn based games. The developers likely saw this when testing and decided not to bother. Oh yeah, and you know, the fact that you have to pay full price for the Stadia release of the game unless the developer goes out of their way to give you a key for the real game just to be nice.

@Konkov What? Steam Play is Valve's compatibility program for Linux. What does that have to do with streaming games? And Xbox Cloud hasn't succeeded yet, it's still in beta.

@Konkov Oh. I forgot about that one. I have never used it but I can't imagine it being very good for anything but slow games if it uses current internet infrastructure. If anyone could have made this work, in my opinion it would have been Google due to their expertise in that field.
