In Dwarf Fortress, the best thing to do to make your dwarves happy is make them bedrooms with outrageously high valued furniture, but still the size of a closet so you can fit a lot of them in your fortress. This reminds me a lot of that. Lots of underwhelming small rooms filled with overpriced shit to drive up the price.
