  1. Armor abilities were not too bad in my opinion. Also Reach introduced one of the most fun weapons in the franchise, the human grenade launcher. I think the thing that really killed Halo was 343's god-awful campaign design. Halo 4 was a gauntlet of bullet sponge after bullet sponge. The Forerunners were simply not at all enjoyable to fight; they could tank a million hits and then teleport away from you on top of all that. And then there were assist drones later on that shielded them if memory serves. It was incredibly tedious. Then 5 naturally butchered the story.

Yes, it's sadly ironic since at the time when Halo came out people who played PC shooters like Quake 3 and UT laughed at how "dumbed down" it was with regenerating shields and only two weapon capacity. Now it is the only mainstream franchise that resembles those older shooters thanks to the gamemodes, level and weapon design.

  3. What exactly does FF7R have to do with this? It's not even remotely similar to the original game, in plot or mechanics.

  5. Red vs. Blue was funny for the first... what was it, three or four seasons? Then it got way too up its own ass, as web series that start out lighthearted with no set direction tend to do.
