Extreme insecurity, coupled with greed. What she really wanted to say was "I deny everything; it's all lies." That would have been a 2-second video, so she couldn't make money from that. It would barely be a tweet. She couldn't create a video essay going in depth because she is too afraid to bear her emotions unironically and her legal team would likely leave if she did. So she swaddles herself in this weird song which has a veneer of cuteness because it makes her feel like she's safer from criticism. Unfortunately, because she's the type of person to groom minors, this was poorly calculated and it backfired. Alternatively this might all be calculated and she might be ending her career with one last blowup monetized video, intending for it to backfire. It all depends on whether she's a psychopathic genius (calculated) or a narcissist (not calculated).

@Luminousreign It's likely she could retire comfortably with the money she's made even if the allegations sink her career. Not as likely if she says some dumb shit that makes her case in court worse and costs her more money.

@beckyhopkins4306 I agree that this is calculated however I think you're putting way too much stock in this particular plan. I don't think it's panning out nearly as well as you think, but then I'm not following this particular scandal that closely. For reference, I was a nerd who hated bullies when I was in school and I didn't even think of sympathizing with this person.
