@Channel-xy2wj No what he means is that in anime which rely on visual gags, they're impossible to replicate in live action. It is a technical impossibility. Maybe you could do it with heavy use of CGI? But I'd be really skeptical that it would look any good. You're taking a problem with a simple solution (just animate the film) and making it incredibly complicated. Otherwise, people who have expectations of what the film will be like based on the cartoon will be disappointed. So why not just make a unique film with its own identity at that point? Cowboy Bebop didn't rely on these gags at all. It was a serious show. There were some characters like Ed who acted bizarrely cheerful, but it was supposed to have an undertone of sadness (that attitude is the only way the kid has survived to that point in such a crappy lawless universe). It was anime noir in space. If you can't even adapt a noir series, something with originated with live action, back to live action, then it doesn't build consumer confidence for these weird people who really want live action adaptations of anime so badly.

@DipseyDex Speed Racer was a fun movie, but it might be unenjoyable for you if you have light sensitivity.
