  1. The death screech is, if I'm not mistaken, the synapse feedback. They are indeed a hivemind but their hivemind is like a wi-fi network that needs relays. Synaptic creatures are those relays and they're usually elites like the Warriors or Raveners (burrower dudes). When the synaptic creature dies, feedback occurs and all the Tyranids that were linked to it suffer as a result. Also that tank you saw is canonically a hack job converted from tractor blueprints so yeah, it's a slow piece of shit.

  2. Astartes is a masterclass in animation and probably the only production I've seen where the Marines actually look professional. They have great economy of movement. Nothing they do is overblown or dramatic but they still look superhuman because they are.

  3. To a Marine they pretty much are. Not much compared to a .75 caliber rifle that shoots rocket propelled grenades.

  5.  @0-B1  He's evil in the way that a doting grandmother who never wants her grandchild to grow up, and thus, stunts their growth, is evil. He seems kind but really his motives are selfish.
