  2. This is so dumb on the hackers' part. There's just more incentive for them to be found now, and they got no money out of it. Ransomware is such a stupid strategy. The only hackers who are successful at it are the ones who negotiate down the price, usually with a "cyber security firm" under the guise of "getting your data back."
