@TinToastCan Why does it have to be us? Why doesn't Israel allow 300k people per month in from Africa?

@BlankExodus so we're just going to conveniently ignore that it's available to kids, and is designed by behavioral psychologists to activate the same chemicals in your brain provided by many addictive drugs

@thc_freebaser it's because it's a conduit for the Chinese government to snoop on everyone who has it installed

@Halosrighthand the slippery slope fallacy is only a fallacy when the slippery slope is not a slippery slope. in other words use your brain instead of tossing out "muh fallacy" and declaring yourself the victor of the battle of Internet Hill

@TheCosmicAstro- it's only a logical fallacy when there is no reason to believe there is a chain of causation towards a worse situation. i.e. "marijuana is a gateway drug" is a slippery slope fallacy because cigarettes and beer do not also cause you to smoke weed or imbibe any other drugs. there's nothing unique about marijuana that makes you want to become a hardcore drug addict. if anything, it's caused by retarded parents who know nothing about the subject matter and assume the best method of prevention is ignorance, then when their kids rebel against them, they aren't equipped to make rational decisions about who they hang out with or what they imbibe. "politicians will always advocate for more government" is not a slippery slope fallacy because it's a blatantly obvious pattern of behavior that has occurred since the beginning of our nation.

@Halosrighthand You're projecting extremely hard, you write like a Redditor if I've ever seen one. To say nothing of the self-updoot. If you can't understand that politicians always advocate for more policies because it makes them look good for their voters, you are probably a teenager who just got into politics. This isn't some kind of secret conspiracy or hidden knowledge. It is how the US government has trended since its inception.

Well no. Worst case scenario, the Chinese government uses Tiktok as a means to mine data of unimaginable quantities from everyone that has it installed
