@danielmccarten4357 Except that implies that he couldn't have done anything to prevent what happened, and that what he did was somewhat reasonable; that is to say, a reasonable person would have made the same mistake. There are multiple steps that could have been taken so that, even if he wanted to be a drunk idiot on stream and wave a real gun around (which I wouldn't recommend even if you checked that it was unloaded), this would not have happened. The fact that he failed to take any of those steps is sheer negligence.

Interlace Everyone will probably dislike this comment, but personally I think it would be great if we'd introduce target shooting classes into schools as electives. We'd be a lot better served if people actually knew what they were legislating against, even if it didn't change their mind afterward. The current legislation is, at best, completely ineffective at its stated goal, which is to prevent dangerous people from owning firearms.

Interlace "we need less gun awareness, not more." You realize there is twice as many guns as people in the U.S. right? The cat is out of the bag you condescending dunce, and you aren't going to get those guns back without a lot of violence. Stop treating people like children and let them know so they don't look like this fool in the video. Time to adapt to the situation that exists, not the one that MIGHT exist if we fuck around and let a ton of people die first.
