@kendrick-jv3lg There's a ton of differences and it is actually counter-productive to believe otherwise. You're not going to get very far by treating your girlfriend just like a man -- there are almost certainly things you do differently that you simply don't acknowledge. But I agree with the part that humans need relationships.

@gaiusjuliuscaesar9296 From the statistics I've seen for dating sites (I work in software and I used to work on the searching and matching code for one of them), an overwhelming majority of women try to date the top 20-30% of guys in terms of appearance or popularity (i.e. profile metrics). It's a jarring look into completely deranged expectations. I think it is mostly due to the psychological effect online dating has, like "oh look I can date any guy now the entire gene pool is my backyard"

@kABUSE1 It's literal soap opera shit. Same reason dumb people watch soaps, or "reality" TV. They just want to turn off their brain and watch stupid controversial shit happen that agitates their amygdala. Most of them probably know its fake, they just like feeling emotionally agitated.

@zz7733 Those are people who usually seek to control a relationship by targeting a person they think has low self-esteem, then berating them to the point where they think they can't get anyone else. That's probably why they started dating someone they didn't find that attractive to begin with.
