It's really weird how clips of Bateman are constantly used. Bateman was a neurotic psycho who let the littlest and most absurd things bother him, like what clothes his coworkers (who he exclusively saw as rivals) wear, or how their business card looks relative to his. He perceives extreme competition in the most mundane activities. He was basically the polar opposite of a sigma, but he was also a psychopath, so he was good at hiding it.

@alf73 Autistic people absolutely have heuristics. In fact for many they can un-learn their autistic behavior. They just may be deficient in noticing patterns in some areas (most notably, social cues)

@newp0rt Haha close but not quite. Batman is probably an example of a "sigma," however he was also born into wealth so things were made easy for him.

@peteryeeterson5766 Firstly you saying that you are "autistic" tells me shockingly little. Thanks to the expansion of the autism umbrella you could be quite a few different things. Secondly I'm not sure that you fully understand what the word heuristic means. Thirdly you oddly don't seem to realize you're contradicting yourself when you talk about pattern recognition and socializing.
