Easy way to remember: Clips feed magazines. Magazines feed guns. Some guns have magazines that can't be removed (ye olde bolt actions from WW2, and some semi-automatics).

Cartman is actually very intelligent and capable if he is motivated. It's just that most of the time he's a lazy insufferable shit, and the only times he gets motivated is when he wants revenge or has a great idea to prank somebody.
