@testingoyay4648 i'm nearly convinced that he checked the peep hole, didn't see the cop because he side stepped it like a fucking goblin, then assumed it was a set up and went back to retrieve his gun and open the door. that's why he took so long

@JamesAlexander2 you forgot the part where he intentionally hid from the peephole, more than once, cop was an incredible idiot. he did this to check out a noise complaint, not raid a drug den. if you want people to treat you well don't act like you're about to rob them

@DeeeWWW25 it was not a DV, it was a noise complaint with nosy neighbors complaining it was "DV." they were blatantly wrong since he was alone in the house and calling his girlfriend. they probably had it out for him for some reason or another, as asshat neighbors tend to do. things end badly for cops very, very frequently when they instantly believe everything some random accuser tells them

@effthegop Arguing over responsibility is a privilege of the living. I'm a permanent pedestrian, so I empathize. However, if I were able to reflect on why I died after I died, I would still blame myself at least partly for not being prepared for drunk drivers. Like any other criminal, I can't prevent drunk drivers from existing. I can only adapt to their existence.

@Shanks4Smiles staying alive isn't about being right, it's about being intelligent. the 2A, along with every other right, has no inherent virtue or ability to protect us. those who sit in the white house, right now, would completely delete the 2A if they could. but practically, they can't, because they can't snap their fingers and make 500 million+ guns, spread out across the 3rd largest nation in the world, disappear. implementing a total repeal of the 2A, even if it were successfully voted on, would be a total bloodbath for everyone involved. there is nothing backing the existence of rights except force and a polite agreement between the members of a society. the government owns a monopoly on the legal use of force. that leaves polite agreement, which isn't worth piss in an ocean. the reason why the 2A is so important is because it continues to vest us with the means of force to make the other rights have meaning. to make it worth anything, a civilian must NECESSARILY ignore the legality of the use of force in some situations. if it were to go away, it may not make a difference, as long as enough of us agree to continue manufacturing and bearing arms, but eventually if the government is strong enough, that idea will be quashed

@evanjohnson1815 rights aren't real, they're just lofty little nice ideas that we share among each other because those among us who are civilized enjoy following rules. problem is, not only are not all of us civilized including many of those in our government, but rules and principles are usually not good fits for every scenario you can encounter in reality. combat training is all well and good, but the person who hones their shooting and martial arts to a fine edge while completely ignoring basic situational awareness and interpretation of posture is still a suicidal idiot. you can only come out of so many fights unscathed until you end up maimed or killed. avoiding needless conflict is always the superior option. dude should have pretended to be asleep and waited until the cop fucked off
