  1. She was walking on a freeway, and decides to charge a cop for no reason... Yeah, I'm pretty sure she was thinking about ending it all. Before she saw the cop, she was contemplating running out into traffic.

  2.  @thomascrum185  Knives are the most common way to get a cop to use lethal force on you. There are way, way too many clear cases of a person who doesn't want to live anymore pulling out a knife, standing around in a public area until someone calls the cops, and then running at the cop.
