@PerfectDark0 It was adrenaline, hot-blooded not cold-blooded. In my personal opinion, the criminals invoked this dude's wrath and have no real entitlement to be treated with kid gloves after literally faceplanting him. A lot of bad things could have happened to him just in that fall. We give cops a lot of leeway in situations like this. Logically speaking, citizens should be given just as much if not more leeway since they don't have the same training. We could also blame our justice system, which literally rewards you for making sure there are no witnesses or defendants to testify against you in court, or to sue you for damages.

@mf1936 You want to pay tax dollars for these two clowns to be in jail, get out and recidivate? This isn't how crimes of passion occur, these guys have done this before.

@ You're making judgment with the benefit of hindsight, there is no way you know that the guy couldn't pull out another weapon in the heat of the moment.
