Comments by "Crazy Eyes" (@CrizzyEyes) on "Nurse arrested for following hospital policy" video.
Yeah that "I was just following orders" excuse doesn't work here. They didn't need to manhandle her in the way they did or talk to her as if she is a criminal intentionally barring their investigation, especially when her own supervisor told her to deny them the sample. Not to mention you should always second guess your superiors, this isn't a war zone and people are always fallible

Well she expected them to be civil and not immediately manhandle a nurse I guess. What an outlandish set of expectations that turned out to be.

@lordvoldemort1561 Women, on average, have 50% the upper body strength of an average man. When physical effort and violence are involved, sex (not gender) is absolutely important. It would be like a video of a cop tazing a man sitting down on the sidewalk complying to his orders. You expect a lower level of violence from the cop because the person he is dealing with is not as threatening to him.

Police departments are perpetually shortstaffed. If you want to help, then join a police academy and fix the problem by commanding them yourself

@OrdellRob Well, okay, I guess we can keep being smarmy on the internet while bitching about it then. Here's the deal: When cops get fired, worse cops get hired. Take a look at places like rural Alaska where they hire convicted criminals to be constables on a regular basis. There are a shortage of good cops because few people with morals want to be cops. The only way to solve that problem is by providing more people with morals.

@AbyssalMelody That's a catch-22. Cops are seen as deplorable by many because of bad cops. To get rid of bad cops, we need more good cops. To need more good cops, we need to increase faith in the system. To increase faith in the system, we need to get rid of bad cops.

@trekinseattle Ideas like this only work in comic books. The real world is not so forgiving. If bad cops are a persistent problem, that means there are other staff covering for them or supporting their actions. That means the "good cop" in your scenario would be in the minority, ignored and demoted or fired, or in the worst case get himself shot and his death covered up as an unfortunate incident in the line of duty.

@ldchappell1 The people are being provided, not the morals.

@jonathanlogan7621 Your argument is also nonsensical, as unless you are a cop your job doesn't require you to "be a thug." The difference between being a thug and being a good cop is always a snap judgment away on every single day of their jobs. There is never a point where you would consider manhandling someone to be a legitimate part of your job if you were a cashier for example. I also have no idea which of my replies you are responding to because YT's comment system is awful.

@dwpwdlgovasitsb4id13orlife2 You're a funny guy. First you shit on me for not writing an essay in my initial post, then you shit on another guy for writing an essay in response. "If I had used this much energy in my initial comment?" What does that even mean? I'm supposed to predict that someone like you would misinterpret my comment and write a perfect explanation that perfectly communicates my ideas to you ahead of time? How absurd. Sounds like you need to use more energy in your own comments... and less condescending emojis.

@dwpwdlgovasitsb4id13orlife2 You're intentionally misreading my comment because you have a fetish for moral crusading. I never excused anyone's actions, I merely pointed out that firing the cop isn't going to solve the problem in the long term. We've been doing that for a while now and it hasn't solved the problem yet. In the long term, the problem can only be solved by having a better pool of candidates to hire from in the first place. Furthermore, bad cops cannot be reprimanded or fired if the problem is systemic in nature. There are two approaches to solving this: The top-down (Fire all the heads of staff) or the bottom-up (fire the bad beat cops and/or only hire rookies of strong moral character). The top-down approach does not last in the long term because cops of lower station naturally get promoted to management positions. This means the only real solution is to have a better pool of rookies.

@boobyhill6921 Yeah sure, I'm definitely a cop even though I'm too blind to drive. Better get off the internet or I'll have you arrested bucko, my handcuffs go through the screen.
