yes there were people in the palestine region when the british and anzacs ended the ottoman empire in ww1. there were in fact already jews and muslims there living under the boot of the ottoman empire. what of it, that region was conquered, the ottoman and the germans were defeated. we conquered it and it was ours to do with as we pleased. if we say the jews can return to their homeland of israel then that's it, it's not up for negotiation. nobody was forced to leave israel, the ones that willingly left were religious fundamentalists and nazi sympathizers that did so because they refused to live with jews. and instead of accepting reality and agreeing to a border and moving on building a country of their own. they pretend still have claim to israel, they have no claim they willingly left, they refused every border proposal even the ones that came from israel which were more generous than others from the united nations and other countries. israel is not the one attacking, israel is the one retaliating to their attacks and they have every right to do so.
