  1. you missed the mark describing ifs shortcomings offroad, they have good stationary ground clearance but when a wheel goes up the diff centre stays pretty much where it was. solid axle the wheel goes up and so does the diff centre. so ground clearance on an ifs is variable a solid axle its a fixed number. ifs is sketchy on steep downhill grades when one tyre tucks and the vehicle wants to flip over it. also the inherent weakness of ifs axles and flimsy steering and all that gets far worse if you try to lift it. jeep really didn't need a 35" tyre option, that's only for people that assess a vehicles worth by comparing numbers on paper. and as everyone should already know you can just add larger tyres to the wrangler yourself anyway
