there's a big problem here and not just the covid aspect, why are these people paid if they don't do their job. Any other job you get paid to do it, and barring a valid reason to be absent if you don't do your job, you lose it. these people are elected and paid to listen to and act on these discussions that's their job, and even if they think the subject is pointless they're paid to hear all arguments for or against and decide what should be in the best interests of the voters they represent. notice i said voters not people, corporations, organizations or governments.
