  1. vegemite is concentrated, you're not supposed to eat big globs of it. it should be spread thin over bread or crackers to give them a nice salty savoury taste. think of it like salt or hot sauce not very good on it's own but when added to the right food in the right amount it's fantastic. not sure where the pickle/vegemite thing came from. we usually prefer pickled beetroot on burgers but pickled cucumbers are not unusual here either.
