  1. front and rear plates required all states (motorcycles and trailers rear only) no registration tag required. the police cars have number plate recognition ability, so they know if the vehicle is registered,insured, reported stolen, who the registered owner is if their licence is valid, if the have warrants. if they're driving around and they get a red flag come up up off your number plate they'll pull you over.
