i've never heard the big cats were a us military program. it's always been said possible explanations were, they escaped from a travelling circus or they were mascots bought here by us military units and when told they weren't allowed were released and they just said they were put down. i grew up in the bush and spend a lot of time in the bush i've seen nothing like that but i have seen a couple of things i didn't get a good enough look at to identify. and i think that's all it is people trying to explain something they didn't see properly.
