  1. that video was incredibly misleading, 1, by combining 200yrs of all causes of land clearing to come up with an area of total cleared. while not mentioning that some areas have been harvested repeatedly to get to said total while others haven't been touched. 2 completely ignored other reasons that caused clearing eg rabbit plagues 3 ignored that we don't conduct ourselves with the british mindset anymore of "if it moves kill it" and "if it doesn't chop it down" logging and land clearing practices have changed a lot since the 1800's 3 mentions 33 mammal extinctions as if they are the result of timber harvesting. when in fact timber harvesting has caused 0 mammal extinctions. cats and foxes are the number 1 and number 2 drivers of mammal extinction. this was a sales pitch for a carbon credit scheme ie pay to pollute.
