  1. some states have fruit fly checks at the border, you have to ditch or eat fresh fruit and veges before crossing. a lot of the time they'll just ask if you have and fruit and veg and then wave you through. sometimes there's no check, sometimes they'll want a look in the boot, esky or fridge. since covid some states have had border checks or closures. where you need a pass to get through or have to quarantine.
