  1. i'll never understand why those plates cost so much, they're a ripoff. i can fully understand paying $300-$500 to get the custom plate made, delivered and all the details changed in the registry database. but what i'll never understand is why they charge a yearly fee after that. who'd be stupid enough to pay an extra $50 a year let alone $500 a year just for a plate. it doesn't even make sense for a business when you can sign write the car.
