  1. another way they ruined bathurst, in those days they raced rain,hail or shine. the reason he is on slicks is strategy when you run wet weather tyres on a drying track they go off quick you need to start driving outside the racing line on the wet parts of the track to preserve the tyres. brockys wets would have been knackered so he changed to slicks early if the track continues to dry the rest have to come in and change to slicks while brocky has clear track and warm tyres. a huge advantage providing it doesn't rain again.
