  1. they were the exact same chassis then too. supercars has always been a circus the only real difference between holden and ford was the body shape, the motors were limited to the same rpm and hp, same gearbox, same diff, even the aero was altered to make them equal.

  2. in regards to cars getting too good, the new cars are slower than the previous holden/falcon bodied chassis due to reduced aero in an attempt to make them more exciting. 1971 for the phase 3 and 1977 for the xc coupe 1-2 and so many toranas breaking down.
