fat pizza, swift and shift couriers and housos are tv shows that ran for multiple seasons with this same sort of wog comedy.

there's no such thing as a swear word in australia, they're just words.

there's a common misconception in australia similar to columbus, and that is that captain james cook was the first european to discover australia. he did not he was a cartographer that mapped the east coast of australia. the first known was dutch man willem janszoon in 1606.

shotover jet boat tour is the kiwi one you're probably thinking of. those v8 superboats are insane when you see a flawless run, theyre so fast you almost can't process what you're watching you blink and they're on the other side of the course. it's amazing that the navigators can remember where to go and signal the driver.

you need to watch "black as" it's hilarious one of my favourite shows. you'll find it on youtube and i reckon you'd like it.

if i had to guess about thecoins i'd say the 5,10,20 and 50 cent are older and were in order of size. the $1 and $2 used to be paper notes. so when they switched to coins i reckon they made the $1 and $2 smaller so they were cheaper to make and easier to carry. we definitely don't need any coins bigger than our 50 cent.

i've climbed black mountain when i was 11, i know why people have gone missing. the "caves" aren't really caves they are gaps between these massive rocks stacked loosely as you climb higher you see that some of these gaps go way down if you fell in you'd bounce off the individual rocks on your way down or fall into a space you couldn't climb out of. you're not allowed to climb it now.

i feel bad that you have only had crappy mass produced supermarket lamingtons and thought they were heavenly. your mind will explode when you get a fresh cheese and bacon pie and a fresh cream lamington from a bakery and wash it down with a cold oak chocolate milk.
17
you missed the guy that stopped traffic to let the snake cross the road

gunshot changes every year, there's about half a dozen different entries some harder than others. the one with the toyota and camper was the easy track.

the eureka flag and the boxing kangaroo are the only s tier flags. And it's always irritated me too that the nsw state flag has a lion on it instead of a quoll ,goanna or some other australian animal. the tree on the norfolk flag is a norfolk island pine, which is unique to norfolk island, they've been planted in many australian coastal towns (and around the world) to be used as replacement ship masts.
13
the kangaroo leather was more abrasion resistant too because it was half the thickness but parted only slightly behind cow leather of twice the thickness.
12
the usa ranger and new bronco are basically based on the australian designed px ranger/everest released about 12yrs ago. although they're mostly all diesel here in aus and the us ones have the ecoboost.

front and rear plates required all states (motorcycles and trailers rear only) no registration tag required. the police cars have number plate recognition ability, so they know if the vehicle is registered, insured, reported stolen, who the registered owner is if their licence is valid, if the have warrants. if they're driving around and they get a red flag come up up off your number plate they'll pull you over.

we don't salt roads in australia for obvious reasons but rust on the coastline from the salt air is common. as for decaying towns i don't think it's really a thing if a mine shuts down businesses that supported that mine will leave but the town will likely remain. short term mines are usually built with temporary infrastructure.

amazing how power to weight and braking improves when you remove 42 tonne of weight. i also wouldn't be concerned about centre of gravity as all the weight is down low. you need to watch them in the wet and see if you can find a video of the bandag bullet doing a burnout.
8
our pb5 pedestrian button is also used in some parts of usa as well. the sound engineer that came up with the sound for it refused to patent it as he wanted everyone to benefit from it. billy eilish is not the only one to sample it into a song either she's well down on a long list. she also heard it in sydney not melbourne.

i know milo is very popular in malaysia but it's Australian.

wait until you find out about the 6cyl ford barra motor. have a look at an fpv f6 typhoon or xr6 sprint. one of the best motors in the world.
6
australian possoms have sharp claws for climbing trees. and they can bite like hell. they aren't scared of humans either. even if they just climb on you they'll scratch the shit out of you without trying. doesn't stop us from hand feeding and patting them. they'll come out and meet you at night nearly anywhere you camp near trees.
6
the mustang body was stretched and modified to fit on the supercar frame. remember all the supercars are on the same frame. which was made for 4 door family sedans. can't wait until you discover that the 6cyl barra falcons are faster than the v8 ones.
5
the best in car footage and sound at bathurst i've ever seen is this video, it's classic race cars and it's reverse grid so the faster cars start at the back and have to move through the field. it's titled. yager performance gtho race 3 "no music" and it's a must watch@
5
australia definitely doesn't have the same road quality because it's a huge country. but for all the efficiency and safety of european roads and drivers i think i'd much rather not have that level of conformity and government regulation. i like the gravel roads, i like undulating roads with corners, i like roads that have variety where you have to pay attention and drive the car not just sit there in the cookie cutter car driving like robots.

it would probably surprise a lot of people to find out eastern greys and red kangaroos grow to near identical max sizes for males. they fight everyday, but serious fights usually take place in the arvo before sunset it's not uncommon for the whole mob to watch at a safe distance.
4
pressure gauges are nitrous as was his "water bottle" and they don't sound like dirt bikes because they have big road bike engines in them.
3
in the inhabited but unsealed parts of the outback in a day you'll likely see a roadtrain, a couple of locals in 4wd's, a couple of tourists riding bicycles (usually japanese or german for some reason) a few adventure motorcycles mostly suzuki drz400E's or dr650se"s and a few loaded up touring 4wd's. in the less inhabited places you can go for two days and not see a single person. you should watch "TEN DAYS and ONE THOUSAND MILES on the world's most remote 4x4 track - THE CANNING STOCK ROUTE" by "the road chose me" that should give you an idea.

so many young blokes with vl's put walkinshaw body kits on them and then scraped them off on the speed bumps in the maccas drive through. the smart ones bought vl turbo's 6cyl (nissan rb30) and left them granny spec on the outside as sleepers.

30c is a cool christmas day for us in nsw, 35-45c is typical but we're in a la nina cycle that brings cooler weather with higher rainfall. christmas at the end of 2019 with all the massive bushfires was the end of the el nino cycle which is hot dry drought weather.
3
when you see sugar cane you know you're at the northern tip of nsw up to north qld
2
the street map is only showing sealed roads. not that there's a lot of roads in central australia but there is major gravel highways as well as 4wd tracks crossing deserts etc.
2
there's a new video that will be right up your alley Ian it's called "more than hoons, 100yrs of newcastle motorsport" it covers the history of motorsport culture in newcastle australia, speedway, hill climb, street racing, supermoto, v8 supercars. you'll love it.
2
weird that new mexico spells chilli "chile" like the country.
2
my dad grew up in darwin in a tin shed with dirt floors the walls had a 6" gap top and bottom to let the breeze through. they lived on the shore at nightcliff and it's million dollar houses now.
2
the ericson skycranes are from usa they come to aus in our bushfire season and go back to usa for yours. the most famous ones are elvis, the georgia peach and the incredible hulk. your american firefighters come over here too.
2
16:01 1970 ford falcon xw gtho phase ii worth half a million dollars or more.

australia is similar to ireland because a lot of the convicts were irish. 30% of people living in australia right now weren't born in australia.
2
350 chev was never widely used in australia. very few vehicles came with them only a handful of holdens had them like the monaro. plenty were imported and swapped and they were used a lot in speed boats and things like that. so they weren't hard to get, but they weren't even close to being as common, easy to find and cheap as windsors, clevelands, 253 and 308 holdens also not nearly as reliable but maybe that stems from aus motors being built for our conditions and a lot of the 350's being used imports or ex marine engines.

the first time i heard about a bidet was crocodile dundee where he goes to new york and thinks it's for washing your boots. then later on he yells out the window it's for washing your backside right. i've never used one but there's times i wished i had one.

did you you just call the majestic huntsman gross? and if you move out every time you see a huntsman you'll be moving constantly. you need to watch woman has 4 day battle with spider in her car.

marree man was man made using machinery in 1998 theres a few rumours about who did it. gosford glyphs were done by a stone mason he also did some more at a nearby estate definitely not egyptian. he butchered the pronunciation of almost everything. gosford = goss-ford wollemi = wol-em-eye coober pedy = koo-bur pea-dee

i remember watching that on tv i was pissed off about glen seatons car breaking down so close to the end. but i always liked larry perkins he always used holden 5.0l instead of chevs like other holden teams, he always put together great engines and he also stuck with a carburetor long after all the other teams had gone efi. he opposed anything that made it too expensive for racers and turned it into the circus of big corporations that put profit above racing.

i like the 71 hemi cuda
1
theres a new video called the greatest race ever, a youtuber asked what was the greatest race ever out of all types of racing and he did the video on the bathurst 1000

swb suzuki lj80 and jeep yj are definitely not ideal hill climb machines. i reckon a jeep cj6,cj8, or wrangler rubicon unlimited would eat that hill.

there is a large predator there that actively hunts humans though, the largest reptile in the world, the largest riparian predator an animal that can be found 100km inland, in freshwater and 100km or more out to sea in saltwater.
