The term by itself, used in an insulting way is/can be offensive, BUT THAT'S THE POINT, here! Decades ago, Tottenham was a much more Jewish area, & hateful people started calling ALL Spurs fans "Yids" as an insult. And Spurs fans, being EXEMPLARY Brits, took up the slur as a badge of honor - *just like the name "Tory" used to mean "Irish highway robber". Speaking AS a Jew, I say, "GO Spurs, GO YIDS!" & THANK YOU Tottenham fans!
