Thanks to you I realise that Plato's Atlantis is no different to Thomas More's Utopia. Give it a thousand years and the denizens of YouTube will be trying to find the real Utopia.

The Russians moving the 1500 tonnes Thunder Stone 6km using manpower was pretty impressive.

Why be sceptical for the list of the Bishop of Rome? There are lists for the Bishops of Antioch, Alexandria and Jerusalem. Does anyone question the list of the Roman Emperors or the list of English Kings? Yes there are questions but they are technical.

I remember a lecture by a Feminist who claimed that their was an ancient Matriarchal society where the woman had all the power because they looked after the grain, but she could tell me where this ancient society was.

@Tata-ps4gy So what about the list of the Bishops of Antioch, Alexandria and Jerusalem? Or do you know what you are talking about? Or do you not believe in Apostolic succession?

@Tata-ps4gy Eusebius was born in 260 before the Diocletian persecution in 303, so he knew more about the matter than you do. Or whatever your Evangelical pastor says.

Modern Americans don't understand the differences between Pantheism and Monotheism. In Pantheism everything is God, matter is Divine, like the Force from Star Wars. There is no distinction between Nature and the Divine. With Monotheism, Nature is a creation of the Divine, there is a distinction. This is the difference between Judaism, Christianity, Islam and pantheistic beliefs like Hinduism, Shinto and Daoism. Pantheists believe everything is God, Monotheist believe only one entity is God.

Peter Gandy claims the golden age of Alexandria came to an end with the birth of the Intolerant Christian Holy Roman Empire. The Holy Roman Empire started under Charlemagne in the year 800 in France. And it wasn't even called the Holy Roman Empire until 1254. So Mr Gandy is blaming people on another continent 400-800 years after the events he is talking about. Does he know anything about history?

Social Evolution sounds an awful lot like Marxism, with it's defined ages, classes and determinist outlook.

AD always sounded more futuristic like 2000 AD! And BC sounds more ancient like One Million Years BC!

@Nakaska The lists exists from writings from the second century, and I think you will find all the Bishop List for Rome, Jerusalem, Antioch and Alexandria in Eusebius who died around 399.
