  6.  @MrWalker1000  No, lol. Paint thickness -- and panel thickness, for that matter -- are reduced for weight (READ: US "CAFE" emissions standards). Also, some cars use galvanized metal for rust-prone areas like rockers, dog legs and roof.

  15.  @sporkybutterz  They decided years ago how many manuals they would make and sell tho, and their proportion in Canada and the US has been low for my entire lifetime (c. 1979) and then some. As for A/C, I'd prefer none given the fact that cars in my price range (READ: shitbox) usually have it fail by that point. Outside the US desert states, it's not strictly necessary.
