@ionezgb This has been mirrored in American/Canadian English for perhaps 10-20 years now, with the euphemism "job creators" being bandied about in every public discourse about corporate taxes, "payroll taxes", the unemployment rate, etc. Of course, it's not something you'll ever hear average people say to each other, but it stems from the same disgusting capitalist bullshit. Worker co-ops in capitalism have the same goal as any other corporation: To "maximize profit". That's why Mondragon now owns companies in Chile, Russia, Vietnam and Morocco which have employees rather than co-op members like those in Spain; these comprise more than half their labour. Weird that Wolffie didn't mention that his prime example is ultimately no different than any parasitic capitalist enterprise, eh? And I doubt it's news to him.

To your first point, Google doesn't employ any janitors or cafeteria cooks. They employ highly skilled, highly trained people to do work that is worth a shitload of money. IOW, they treat them as well as costs permit, like any other business. To the second, it says that Wolff is a smart guy who says the right things (for a capitalist): That the Soviet Union failed, and the answer (per Wolff) is for workers to build a parallel system while capitalism lives on. Trash.

@matthewkopp2391 Worker co-ops inside the capitalist rubric are not Marxist, and neither is Wolff. He's advocating for another suckdem crutch to maintain capitalism, a bauble to make workers think they have control when the system hasn't changed. The fucking idiot slagged off the USSR, which had democratically-run worker co-ops out the ass, then proposed a watered-down 'Murrican version of the same thing. WTF?
