  1. Funny thing about the TV channel-changing thing: I'm 39, which puts me squarely in the North American "remote control" and "cable TV" eras. My family was poor tho, so we were lucky to have one colour TV and a couple small black-and-whites picked from the garbage, all with rabbit ears. At one point, nine people lived in a house with 3 bedrooms. Buy hey, isn't "muh free market" great? /s

  2. Oh, and the freakiest shit I ever saw? Ball lightning coming off the main TV's rabbit ears during a storm-induced power failure. My grandmother (RIP), brother and I all saw it. It was fuckin' nuts.
