Comments by "Two-Row Euro" (@fun_ghoul) on "Are Electric Cars Worse For The Environment? Myth Busted" video.
Even if someone's car was 100% powered by coal generation plants, it's still in every way cleaner and greener than driving an ICE.

Clown.
2
@benz merc Clown.
2
J Thorsson What happens to the filth spewed by burning dinosaur carcasses? What's the percentage that gets recycled into, er, dog farts?
2
You'd be doing better if you converted it in the 2000s...
2
@sor3999 Tractors use Diesel, fuckstick. Also, there's literally no reason they couldn't be electric. They literally had tractors running on mains power in the Soviet Union.
2
@KieraCameron514 I'm fat and old, so I've moved onto a hybrid...an ebike! The speed sign in front of Lansdowne said I was doing 62 km/h, on combined motor and leg power. It's totally illegal, but I'm white, so laws don't apply to me (apparently).
2
But burned fuel doesn't? Cazzo!
1
Obviously worse, which is why this charlatan didn't touch those, or the emissions from driving every litre of fuel to every gas station you've seen in your whole life with a Diesel-burning tractor-trailer.
1
This goof's sponsors would not like to talk about that...
1
@alwinmt Coal is moved by ships and rail cars. Fuel, by trucks. Night and day.
1
@dmay3391 You can only be talking about the original 2008 Roadster, which is in fact a Lotus. A Model S rides like a cloud.
1
We all know about European "emissions tests": Cheat your ass off, and governments cover up the fake test results for you! Diesel e disgustoso.
1
@dmay3391 You have never driven in a Model S to say something so plainly ignorant. The ride quality of a Model S is most similar to, oh, your grandpappeh's Crown Vic (any generation in recent memory).
1
@dmay3391 " No one buys a Tesla because it's a good car." Consumer Reports: "Best car we've ever driven, period." Hmm, who is more credible? LOL
1
What do you do now, clown?
1
You are a big burnout.
1
@Bearbait01 Keep proving it, 'tard.
1
You only have to mine the copper once, and it's highly recyclable. Trolling for oil companies "is very bad for environment (sic)"
1
Doesn't matter, dingus. A coal plant the size of a several city blocks is more efficient than your Civic F150.
1
Where does the ethanol come from? If it's corn, it's worse.
1
What species of plant are you, Frank? lol
1
Lead acid is trash, and negates much of the efficiency we're chasing with EVs. No, arsehole. Just drive a smaller vehicle.
1
Doesn't matter, clown. Batteries are transported ONCE, and then refilled in situ hundreds of times. Gasoline has to be transported for every fillup.
1
Nobody cares what you say, coal troll.
1
Less than it takes to drive every liter of fuel to every gas station you've ever seen in a big Diesel-guzzling tanker truck.
1
Please explain what you're using to power the electrolysis, clown. Go.
1
@rustyspoon4911 So no explanation. That's what I thought, loser.
1
@rustyspoon4911 Must be lonely inside your tinfoil hat...
1
"How much coal needs to burn to power my electric car? I would like to get an answer." Like, you want the number of pounds? If you seriously wanted an answer, prick, you'd have included some variables.
1
Melting copper and mining lithium "come for free" too, I guess.
1
@redbaron6805 "Renewable" in the context of hydro is misleading, given the GHG (READ: methane) emissions of flooding hundreds of thousands of square kilometres of vegetation -- and yes, living animals -- over the course of a project's lifespan, which could run into centuries. That is to say nothing of methyl mercury contamination, which is another major hazard to life in the affected watersheds (e.g. Churchill Falls).
1
@shaunpowelluk If I had an EV, I might just use a heater and extension cord on a timer to get the car to full roast before commuting. Alternately, I'd do what I did in my Corolla when the defrost sucked, which is to drive with some windows open and heat OFF.
1
@Liksmaskaren I live in Ottawa, which is further south than Calgary, yet colder than Luleå. I bet you're gonna talk about your "high-octane" fuel too, lol.
1
Could say the same of gold mining...
1
He also had to cut out life cycle emissions for ICE to "win".
1
@bradeldridgedc8337 Diesel cars will be around for exactly as long as the dino-oil industry has a fraction in the range burnable by a Diesel engine, that is not otherwise marketable. ICE cars are like refillable lighters: Made as much for the profit of fuel companies as car companies!
1
How would you recycle burned gasoline? Glupo!
1
Electric cars last longer, and once recycled, are much cleaner to deal with on account of not having a "fuel system" that needs dismantling.
1
Is that a factor for people switching to a Model S from an S-class? I think not.
1
What do you think powers pipelines, arsehole? Magical fairy dust? Unicorn farts?
1
If it's from corn, you have to grow the corn. That ain't cheap, in terms of emissions.
1
@Jonathan11225 No it's not, dummy.
1
There is no electric vehicle ever made that generates more CO2 or GHGs than any ICE of comparable weight and configuration. The end.
1
@liny2sd Some people like the sound of tortured screams, too. I guess we should encourage sociopaths to just do whatever they feel, no matter the cost to others...
1
The opposite argument is that this clown also doesn't include the emissions "cost" of petroleum infrastructure, namely Diesel-burning semis that supply every gas station you've ever seen.
1
The thing about "catastrophe" is that it won't kill everyone, and guess who will survive in the greatest numbers? That's right, rich people.
1
@mac_mcleod The richer (or more powerful) someone is, the more likely they are to not die. Of course some will die nonetheless, but it's a numbers game, and the numbers always stack up against proletarians.
1
@mac_mcleod In the same vein as Monaco, though, FDR said of the Hamptons "there would be nowhere for us to go". It is likely that this fearful pragmatism more than anything else drove "The New Deal".
1
I have one...it's an electric-leg hybrid! Does 62 km/h in "Ludicrous Mode". :-)
1
@dmay3391 "Leftist Fascism"...lol. Get off the meth, kid. Your family still loves you.
