  4. In this video as the last, and probably later ones in the series, Aaron Good talks about opium and African chattel slavery as pillars of the Amerikkkan economy. While true, I find it reductive inasmuch as Amerikkkan involvement with opium began CENTURIES after the "Triangle Trade", and Amerikkka was a bit player in the flooding of China with opium, controlling just 12% of the "trade" (the rest belonged to England). Moreover, Aaron ignores the original sin which brought the most capital to European colonizers: The land itself!

Oh, and just after this, Ben talks about Christian justification for slavery (i.e. creation of "white" and "black" "races") without linking that to what they were REALLY trying to justify: Colonization under the legal auspices of terra nullius, and concordant papal bulls and legal documents, including the Treaty of Tordesillas.
