@Liam-zw1ek "Woke" is not a Conservative [sic] invention. Rather, they turned a perfectly good AAVE word into a white slur.

Why are you assuming manufacturing will provide a liveable wage in the imperial core? It doesn't even do that in the Global South, where the cost of living is much lower. Are we paying $100 for a plain t-shirt now?
5
"Laziness" is another way of saying "wants to spend less on labour to do the job".
5
Ben loves Radhika. Cope.

Shorter @jgalt308 : "If you don't instantly agree with all my positions, you're dumb!"
3
That's a lot of words to say you know nothing about Marxism.
3
Oh FFS with your "human nature". What you know about human history can be written on the head of a pin.
2
Capitalism doesn't organize politics. It organizes capital, which itself uses politics to maintain control.
2
@Cpp1357 That's the face you saw of WM, but most of their stores have been in cities for decades. Forcing a mom-and-pop to close doesn't guarantee you get their customers, it just gets your foot in the door in a given locale.
2
So you were an Amerikkkan terror weapons maker, and you think the job was good? Well, isn't that special? 🤑
2
@jgalt308 "...NOT the government of the rich..." You don't know any Amerikkkan history, do you?
1
They literally don't even consider that. It's a cult of sociopaths.
1
Your cart is in front of your horse.
1
All you're proving is that you don't know what alienation means in the Marxist sense.
1
You don't get it. The capitalists will price the jobs so low, in states with low/no minwage, such that only the absolutely most desperate workers could contemplate taking the job. Of course, in late-stage capitalism, there are millions in Amerikkka as desperate as this, so filling entire factories with them is a no-brainer for capitalists who just want more money. Indeed, many large corporations have even recently been busted using not only labour from undocumented migrants, but also from Amerikkkan children.
1
Lyndon LaRouche was an op.
1
You're not a wizard in propaganda, that's for sure.
1
@jgalt308 China is as great now as it ever was. Also, why is "ruling class" in quotes? Do you not believe there is a ruling class? L-Mao.
1
If capitalists build new factories in Amerikkka, they'll be virtually indistinguishable from an A**zon warehouse. The blue collar jobs of the 1970s are never, ever coming back.
1
You're literally dumping on workers for wanting a job that pays a decent wage. Where do you get YOUR money from???
1
@Garbo6644 You didn't answer my question, Poindexter. How do you get your money? Your opinions on wages mean nothing to me at this point. You just sound like some crusty old boomer who wants to hold out his own work as being more valuable as that of the young whippersnappers. So go ahead and answer now, OK?
1
@Garbo6644 Thanks for proving my point, cvnt.
1
@Garbo6644 Low interest rates mean bugger all if you can't afford a house no matter what, you absolute ghoul. Oh, and "high-paying job"? Bud, I'm pushing 50. The jobs you're talking about are a figment of your chemically-enhanced imagination. Back to your sewer now, creep.
1
@landfallmagazine You can reply in first person or third person, but not both. Choose, MFer.
1
@Garbo6644 Translation: "Good luck getting anything if you refuse to lick the boot like I do, hehe."
1
Your comment started off strong, but then you tried to imply that Amerikkka is socialist because the government does stuff. Oh boy.
1
The United States has "continuity of agenda", no matter who runs the WH, Congress and SCOTUS. There is no "better" or "worse", only "good cop" and "bad cop".
1
It's not a question of liking the work or not. If your mortgage is $2000 a month and the wage is $1800/month, you're not taking the job. Period.
1
There's no such thing as "mixed economy".
1
"Hungry people do not unionize." This is completely wrong. People literally unionize when their work life becomes INTOLERABLE, when their fear of the consequences of capitalism comes to exceed their fear of the capitalists themselves.
1
I think you are overestimating the number of such jobs, and underappreciating the nature of the work being utterly different than it was 40 years ago.
1
"Marxism-Leninism-Maoism-Dengism" 🤡
1
@jason8434 You don't know what "politics" means, clearly.
1
Solution: JDPON
1
I'm admittedly only a couple minutes in, but I have a hard time believing that Desai and Hudson praised W*lmart in this video.
1
@Cpp1357 Oh, and to be clear, Hudson used the word "successful". I don't know where you get benevolence from that.
1
I don't think much will come back, but what does will indeed be very robot-centric.
1
All true, save for where you delimit your comment to Republicans. Boards of directors in the US are legally obliged to pursue maximum profits for their firm in every fiscal quarter; those who don't can be convicted of a crime, and some indeed have been. This is the main tool to keep down any "corporate citizenship" stuff that interferes with Unkkkle Sam's interests.
1
Just as you have no idea what Marx and Engels meant by "alienation".
