I say grant her her wish. She doesn't want to go in, she doesn't want to. Just grant her her freakin' wish. No write-ups, no detentions, no getting sent to the principal's office...as for the grade, I don't know. Also, how many people wear shower caps in swimming pools?

They didn't lie.

I don't know if that would've helped. Imagine if he dragged her into the pool, and shoved her down to the bottom (possibly to a drowning point)! That for sure would be enough to get him fired for good and send him to prison for a long time.

Calling her parents would've brought her side of the story. Sending her to the principal's office would've been useless. It's not her fault...it's his!

I totally agree! If she doesn't want to swim because of fear of ruining her hair, GRANT HER HER WISH! Likewise, if someone doesn't want to jump off the diving board because of fear of the deep end, or even injury or death from hitting the board and/or pavement (it's possible you could hit the board first, and then fall to the pavement, when your intended target is the pool), wish needs to be granted!

***** Uh-uh. They said she is. They don't lie about age or anything in stories like these.

Fēnja Kristall Depends on where you live. Elementary school for the US is Kindergarten through 5th grade, JH is grades 6-8, HS is 9-12. (In some places, 6th is in the ES system, and 9th is in the JH system)

I don't know if giving her a fail is a good or bad idea. But I do know that what the teacher did was wrong, and he needs to be fired for it. He needs to teach some other subject. Also, I remember being dragged to the diving board when I was so scared of not only the deep end but (and it has happened to other people, check other videos), hitting either the board or the pavement (yeah, that's really bad).

She wasn't lying. Sure you're saying "What if", but in this case, "what if" doesn't apply.

Specialty Elevators and UEE's by Technicalboy3000 And imagine if I hit the board and then fell to the pavement. That'd be grounds for not only firing the teacher, but a lawsuit against him or her.

Zurisaday Prado Amaya Right, but he almost did.

He should've just granted her her wish. That's all.

Yeah...but once she gets in the pool, the hair gets ruined. You wouldn't want that, would you? Likewise in the art class, if your nails get damaged, then what do you do? But yes, this teacher really needs, no pun intended, a time-out.
